The Carnell Sales, Inc. Tax-Exemption Process will allows exempt customers to have automatic removal of taxes during checkout of your online purchases.
Steps to Apply
Step 1: Create an account.
You must have an account to enroll for tax-exempt.
Farmers and Business who don't already have an account with The Big Bearing Store should create a account first. Click here to go to the Create Account page. If you already have an account, you can skip this step.
Step 2: Submit your documentation.
Once you have an account with us set up, you will need to submit some forms for us to review and approve in order for your account to not be charged tax at checkout. Here is the information we need:
- The email address you used to setup your Big Bearing Store account. It is also good for this to be the email you want to use when you order in the future.
- Your phone number. Please include the best number to reach you in case we have trouble setting up your account.
- We will need your state resale certificate if you are a business or we need your farmers tax exempt form if you are a farmer.
- If you are a business or farm with a EIN (Employer Identification Number), we will need that or you can just send your W9 form if you have one. If you do not have a EIN, you will need to state that in your email when you submit all your info.
Once you have gathered all 4 required items from above, please attach the documents and information into an email and send this email to taxes@thebigbearingstore.com
Step 3: Confirm application status.
Once we have your account approved and adjusted. We will send you a email letting you know that you are ready to checkout without paying sales tax. Once your account is approved, you will be able to enjoy a tax free checkout from then on.
If you have not heard back from us within 1 business day of submitting your information. Please try to checkout and confirm you are still getting charged tax, if you are still required to pay tax 1 business day after you have submitted your information to us please give us a call and we will help you complete the process 866-967-7729.
